1. Our Commitment
Rise Up is committed to maintaining a safer community experience and has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse, child sexual exploitation, grooming, trafficking, sextortion, sexual solicitation of minors, or any content or activity that endangers children. These Child and Safety Standards apply to every part of Rise Up, including public profiles, posts, comments, clips, groups, group posts, direct messages, My Circle, business pages, Black Business Finder, In Search Of listings and messages, Hopeless Ro dating profiles, Ro Signal, Ro Map, The First Five, The Rose Room, photos, videos, captions, usernames, links, reports, and any other feature connected to the Service.
Rise Up is not directed to children under 13. Hopeless Ro is an adult dating experience and is strictly limited to users who are 18 years of age or older. A user may not access Hopeless Ro, create a dating profile, use Ro Signal, appear in Ro Map, send or receive First Five messages, enter The Rose Room, or use dating-related features unless the user is at least 18.
2. Zero-Tolerance Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Policy
Rise Up strictly prohibits Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, often referred to as CSAE. We also strictly prohibit Child Sexual Abuse Material, often referred to as CSAM. Prohibited activity includes, but is not limited to:
- Creating, uploading, storing, sending, requesting, sharing, saving, linking to, advertising, selling, purchasing, trading, or distributing CSAM.
- Any sexual, nude, sexually suggestive, exploitative, or fetishized content involving a minor or a person who appears to be a minor.
- Grooming, coercion, manipulation, persuasion, blackmail, threats, intimidation, or trust-building with a minor for sexual or exploitative purposes.
- Sexual solicitation of a minor, requests for sexual images, requests for sexual conversation, requests to meet for sexual purposes, or attempts to move a minor to another platform for unsafe communication.
- Sextortion, revenge sharing, threats to expose intimate images, financial blackmail involving sexual content, or attempts to obtain sexual content through pressure or deception.
- Human trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, escorting, prostitution, forced labor, recruitment, transportation, harboring, or arrangement of exploitation involving a minor.
- Age misrepresentation used to access Hopeless Ro, contact minors, contact adults under false pretenses, evade safety restrictions, or obtain access to age-restricted features.
- Accounts, groups, pages, posts, listings, usernames, bios, comments, messages, images, videos, links, or codes that promote, normalize, joke about, facilitate, or attempt to hide child sexual abuse or exploitation.
- Using Rise Up, In Search Of, Black Business Finder, groups, DMs, First Five, The Rose Room, or any business or marketplace feature to recruit, exploit, threaten, manipulate, or endanger a child.
There are no exceptions. Users who violate this policy may be immediately removed, reported to appropriate authorities, and permanently banned.
3. Age Rules and Dating Safety
- Rise Up social features: Rise Up is not intended for children under 13. Users under the minimum age allowed by applicable law may not use the Service.
- Hopeless Ro: Hopeless Ro is 18+. A user who is under 18 may not create, view, or use a Hopeless Ro dating profile or any dating-related feature.
- False age information: Users may not lie about age, encourage another person to lie about age, use someone else’s account, or create accounts to bypass age restrictions.
- Reports involving age: If we receive information suggesting that a Hopeless Ro user may be under 18, we may restrict, suspend, remove, or request additional verification from that account.
4. User-Generated Content Safety Standards
Rise Up includes user-generated content. Users are responsible for the content they post, send, list, upload, or otherwise make available. Prohibited content and conduct includes:
- Content that exploits, sexualizes, targets, threatens, harasses, stalks, intimidates, bullies, doxxes, impersonates, or endangers another person.
- Content that misrepresents identity, age, relationship status, business affiliation, location, credentials, products, services, job opportunities, or intentions.
- Content that encourages self-harm, violence, trafficking, sexual exploitation, hate, scams, fraud, illegal activity, or harm to minors.
- Non-consensual intimate images, revenge sharing, hidden-camera content, deepfake sexual content, or threats to share private content.
- Attempts to evade reports, blocks, moderation, account restrictions, safety tools, age restrictions, or law enforcement.
5. How to Report Safety Concerns
Users can report posts, comments, profiles, messages, groups, business pages, marketplace listings, Hopeless Ro profiles, First Five threads, Rose Room messages, and other content through in-app reporting tools when available. Users can also contact us at itsjosephsapps@gmail.com.
When reporting a child safety or serious safety concern, please include as much detail as possible:
- The username, display name, profile, group, page, listing, or conversation involved.
- The type of content or behavior you are reporting.
- The date and approximate time of the activity.
- Links, screenshots, message details, or other context, if available and lawful to share.
- Why you believe a child, user, or community member may be at risk.
Do not send CSAM to us by email. Instead, report the profile, post, message, listing, group, or content location so we can review and take appropriate action. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services right away. Reports to Rise Up are not a substitute for emergency assistance.
6. How Rise Up Responds to Reports
When Rise Up becomes aware of suspected CSAE, CSAM, exploitation, trafficking, threats, illegal activity, or serious safety concerns, we may take action that includes:
- Removing or restricting content, listings, messages, groups, profiles, photos, videos, or links.
- Restricting, suspending, disabling, or permanently banning accounts.
- Blocking access to Hopeless Ro, Ro Signal, Ro Map, First Five, The Rose Room, direct messages, groups, marketplace features, or other features.
- Preserving relevant account, content, device, message, report, and activity information when appropriate.
- Escalating suspected CSAM, child exploitation, imminent harm, trafficking, or violent threats to law enforcement, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, child safety organizations, or other appropriate authorities when required or appropriate.
- Taking additional action needed to protect users, children, the public, Rise Up, and the integrity of the Service.
We may not always notify a user before taking safety action, and we may not disclose details of a safety investigation if doing so could create risk, violate privacy, interfere with enforcement, or conflict with legal obligations.
7. Blocking, Reporting, and Safety Controls
Rise Up provides safety controls that may include block, report, hide, flag, message controls, group controls, marketplace reporting, Hopeless Ro blocking, First Five closure, Rose Room safety options, and other moderation tools. Users can block or report accounts that behave abusively, misrepresent themselves, violate these standards, or create safety concerns.
Blocking in Hopeless Ro may be separate from blocking in the main Rise Up experience, depending on the option selected. Users are responsible for choosing the blocking option that matches their safety need. We may also apply broader restrictions when necessary.
8. Hopeless Ro Safety Standards
Hopeless Ro is intended for adults who want intentional dating and real conversation. Hopeless Ro is not a background-check service, identity-verification service, emergency service, or guarantee of user truthfulness. The V-check badge means an account has completed certain verification steps, such as email or phone verification. It does not guarantee a person’s legal identity, age beyond app requirements, criminal history, relationship status, intentions, health status, financial status, safety, or trustworthiness.
Hopeless Ro users must not:
- Use dating features if under 18.
- Misrepresent identity, age, name, location, relationship status, intentions, employment, background, or safety information.
- Pressure anyone for sexual content, money, off-platform communication, meetings, private details, transportation, housing, or financial help.
- Use Ro Signal, Ro Map, First Five, The Rose Room, or profile discovery to stalk, harass, locate, follow, threaten, exploit, or intimidate another user.
- Post or send non-consensual sexual content, explicit content involving minors, sexual services, trafficking content, escorting, solicitation, blackmail, or content that violates law.
Users who choose to meet another person are responsible for their own judgment and safety. We encourage users to meet in public, tell someone where they are going, use their own transportation, avoid sending money, and report concerning behavior.
9. Location Safety
Rise Up may include profile city/state, marketplace city/state, business locations, and Hopeless Ro Ro Signal or Ro Map location features. Hopeless Ro is designed so exact device location is not displayed to other users. Ro Map and related discovery features are intended to use an approximate area, such as a two-square-mile zone, and nearby discovery filters rather than placing a person’s exact device location on a map.
Users may not use Rise Up to stalk, track, target, harass, expose, or attempt to determine another user’s exact location.
10. Marketplace, Business, and Group Safety
In Search Of and Black Business Finder help users find listings, services, businesses, and opportunities. Rise Up does not guarantee the truth, legality, quality, safety, availability, licensing, pricing, employment status, business ownership, or legitimacy of user-posted listings or businesses. Users and businesses are responsible for truthful listings, legal compliance, safe transactions, and respectful communication.
Groups and group posts must follow these standards. Group owners and admins may not use groups to exploit, groom, harass, mislead, scam, endanger, or target children or other users.
11. Law Enforcement and Emergency Requests
Rise Up may cooperate with law enforcement, child safety organizations, emergency responders, or other proper authorities when required by law or when we believe disclosure is appropriate to protect a child, user, community member, the public, or the Service.
Emergency matters should be reported to local emergency services first. For urgent platform safety concerns, email itsjosephsapps@gmail.com.
12. No Tolerance for Retaliation or False Reports
Users may not threaten, harass, intimidate, retaliate against, or target a person for making a report. Users also may not knowingly submit false reports, fabricate evidence, or use reporting tools to harass others. Misuse of reporting tools may lead to account restrictions.
13. Updates to These Standards
We may update these Child and Safety Standards as the Service changes, as safety practices improve, or as legal or platform requirements change. Continued use of Rise Up after updates means you agree to follow the updated standards.
