Your Custom Songz Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Joseph S Apps, LLC (“Joseph S Apps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the Your Custom Songz website, customer portal, music store, custom-song services, downloads, and related communications (collectively, the “Service”).

1) Information We Collect

Contact and account information: name, email address, phone number, authentication identifiers, and account preferences.
Order and transaction information: products, package selections, prices, order status, payment references, receipts, downloads, and customer-support history. Stripe processes full payment-card details; we do not store full card numbers.
Creative and project information: questionnaires, stories, names, dates, relationships, song preferences, notes, approvals, revision requests, messages, uploads, and other information you choose to provide.
Audio and media information: sample and deliverable metadata, playback or download events, file names, file sizes, technical properties, approval markers, and access logs.
Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, referring pages, cookies or similar identifiers, security events, and interaction data needed to operate and protect the Service.

2) How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

process orders and payments, create projects, produce songs, provide samples, manage revisions and approvals, and deliver purchased files;
authenticate users, match purchases to verified accounts, operate the customer and administrator portals, and protect private content;
send service, security, order, delivery, support, and policy communications;
respond to requests, resolve problems, enforce licenses and agreements, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain audit records;
improve performance, accessibility, reliability, and customer experience;
comply with legal, tax, accounting, security, and regulatory obligations.

3) Legal and Operational Bases

Depending on applicable law, we process information to perform a contract with you, take steps you request before entering a contract, pursue legitimate business and security interests, comply with legal obligations, and act with your consent where consent is required.

4) How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:

Service providers: payment processors such as Stripe; Firebase/Google Cloud for hosting, databases, authentication, and private storage; email and communications providers; domain, security, analytics, and technical vendors; and professional advisers.
Legal and safety purposes: comply with law or legal process; investigate fraud, security incidents, or rights violations; protect customers, Joseph S Apps, or the public; and enforce agreements.
Business transactions: support a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
With your direction: deliver a gift, share an approved project with an intended recipient, or complete another action you request.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5) Creative Stories and Sensitive Details

Song questionnaires may contain personal or emotionally sensitive details about you or other people. Share only what is necessary and what you have permission to provide. We use this material to fulfill your project and do not publish a customer’s private story, name, likeness, sample, or finished custom song for promotion without separate permission.

6) Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Service may use essential cookies or local technologies for login, session security, preferences, fraud prevention, and core functionality. We may also use limited measurement tools to understand performance and use. Browser settings can control some cookies, but disabling essential technologies may prevent account or checkout features from working.

7) Data Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for fulfillment, customer access, support, security, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement. Retention periods vary by record type. We may retain transaction and audit records after an account or project is deleted when required or reasonably necessary. Private media may be removed after the applicable access or retention period, so customers should keep authorized backups of delivered files.

8) Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including authenticated access, authorization checks, private storage, encrypted transport, payment-token separation, access logging, and limited administrative access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9) Your Choices and Privacy Rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing where applicable. You may also withdraw consent for future processing when consent is the basis, though this does not affect prior lawful processing. 10) Children’s Privacy

The Service is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 may not create an account, place an order, or submit personal information. A parent or legal guardian may purchase a song concerning a child using the adult’s own account and contact information. If we learn that we collected personal information directly from a child under 13 without required consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

11) International Use

The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from another country, information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards and law.

12) Third-Party Sites

Links to Stripe, Joseph S Apps, social platforms, or other third-party services are governed by those services’ privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party sites or applications.

13) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, law, or business practices. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
