Who operates the service
Joseph S Apps, LLC operates Life Lessons U. This draft covers its website, iOS app and Android app. Contact itsjosephsapps@gmail.com for privacy, access, correction, export or deletion requests. Public enrollment is not enabled while the final privacy review, vendor configuration and retention schedule remain incomplete.
Information used
Account information includes name, email address, account role, broad age band, verification status and guardian–student relationships. Learning information includes enrollment, lesson and video progress, assessment answers and scores, assignments, simulations, achievements, certificates and workshop participation. Support requests may include the information you choose to provide.
Purchase information includes order, subscription, product, transaction and entitlement references used to verify access. Apple, Google or the configured website payment processor handles payment details; Life Lessons U does not store card numbers. Device information includes secure sign-in tokens and device-session records. If you opt in to notifications, the service uses a push token, preferences and delivery records. Policy version, acknowledgment and guardian-authorization records are retained to document the account’s choices. Hosting and security systems may process network and operational logs needed to serve and protect the service.
The initial app does not request contacts, microphone, precise location, photos or an advertising identifier. It provides no targeted advertising, tracking across other companies’ apps, public student profiles or peer messaging. Do not include sensitive personal documents or real bank information in learning work or simulations.
How information is used and shared
Information supports sign-in, verification, family authorization, learning progress, access control, purchase restoration, optional notifications, support, security and account-rights requests. Authorized guardians can see their linked learner’s enrollment and progress. Authorized instructors and staff may access information needed to provide lessons, workshops, support or administration; other students do not receive private learning work.
Configured service providers process information needed for authentication, database and file hosting, email, payments or push delivery. Native purchases are processed by Apple or Google; the planned website flow uses Stripe. The private Life Lessons U test uses Google Firebase Authentication for sign-in, Cloud Firestore in the us-east1 region for learning profiles and saved progress, and Firebase App Hosting in us-central1 for the website and API. Verification and password reset emails use Firebase Authentication. Joseph S Apps policy pages use Firebase Hosting. Private media and optional reminder delivery are not yet enabled. Provider agreements, media and notification processing, and final safeguards remain subject to review before public enrollment. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Information may be disclosed when required by applicable law or to address security and rights claims.
Children and teenagers
The initial product does not enroll children under 13. Ages 13–17 require a parent or legal guardian’s enrollment and authorization; the student’s review of this notice is not parental consent. A broad age selection occurs before signup contact details are requested. Guardian relationships control family visibility. If you believe a child under 13 has provided account information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate. Child and teen privacy classification, guardian verification and applicable regional requirements remain part of the prelaunch legal review.
Your choices and account deletion
You can request a data export, update supported account details, manage optional notifications and delete your account from Account settings. You can also request deletion without installing the app at https://josephsapps.com/pages/life-lessons-u-delete-account or by emailing itsjosephsapps@gmail.com. We verify account ownership before acting; never email a password, store receipt containing payment details or government ID. Available privacy rights depend on your location and applicable law.
Deleting the account closes access and erases private learning work, simulations, device credentials and preferences through the account-deletion flow. Pseudonymous purchase, consent, security or legal records may need to be retained for applicable legal obligations, dispute handling or fraud prevention. External authentication-provider deletion can be retried when a provider is unavailable. The final retention periods and backup-expiry schedule require approval before public launch. A guardian’s deletion can pause a linked learner’s access until a current authorized guardian is established.
Account deletion does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Cancel renewal with the original store if desired; cancellation is not a condition for requesting account deletion.
Security and policy changes
The release configuration requires HTTPS. Native sign-in credentials use platform secure storage, private account requests require authentication and guardian access is limited to authorized relationships. No service can guarantee absolute security. Local development builds use fictional QA accounts and may connect to a developer’s loopback server; they are not intended for real student information or purchases.
Acknowledging this policy confirms that you have seen the notice. It does not grant permission for optional notifications or any additional processing that requires separate consent. The final reviewed policy will have a new version and effective date; material changes are presented for renewed review where required.
